Promotion:
Purpose to promote the collective success of the Downtown Conway Merchants.
EVENTS: The Committee will be focusing on highlighting Downtown Conway though the following events: Third Thursday, Downtown Dining Week, Conway Farmer's Market, Moon Light Madness, Downtown Christmas Open House, and Boutique, Art, Antique & Music Walk (BAAM) and coordinate with partners to partner on events that they host as well.Consortium Advertising: Strategically located Billboard, Hotel Concierge's Book placed in all area hotels, Downtown Commercials running on Conway Corporation cable and continued Social Media efforts as well as bi-monthly enewsblasts.
Arts & Culture:
Purpose to promote the development of artistic, cultural, and creative venues and pursuits.
Current Initiatives: The Committee will be focusing on retail and how retail will interact with the cultural environment.
Planning & Management:
Purpose to implement the Old Conway Design Overlay Guidelines.
Current Initiatives: The Committee will be focusing on the north end of downtown and working towards accomplishing three goals:
- Retail (particularly homegrown retail and retail retention).
- Arts District
- Entertainment District
Residential:
Purpose: To promote the development of a diverse housing stock, becoming a community of distinct neighborhoods.
Current Initiatives: The committee will be focusing on pursuing attainable housing for downtown and communicating with the downtown residential community.
Transportation:
Purpose: Improve access to, from, and through downtown and parking options in Downtown Conway.
Current Initiatives: The Committee will work towards the implementation of the M Transportation Vision for downtown as well as exploring new ways to improve circulation.
